Our Famous Sausage

For over a century, our pork sausages have been made to the same trusted recipe—long before John Robinson ever set foot behind the counter. They’re crafted with Wiltshire free-range pork, English hand-rubbed sage, and our closely guarded secret seasoning.

When John Robinson bought the shop in 1969, he thought he might improve things by changing the sausage recipe. It didn’t take long for word to get back to him—one of our oldest customers came in, looked him square in the eye, and said, “Put it back the way it was, or you’ve seen the last of me.”

John listened, the original recipe returned, and the sausages have stayed exactly the same ever since. Some say that’s the secret to their flavour; we think it’s the love of a community that knows a good thing when they taste it.
